How’s your Aries season landing, fam? I’m an Aries baby, with a whole lot of Aries vibe going on, and Aries rules my 11th house, but I have a my Sun and Venus in my 10th house in Aries, albeit ruled by Pisces. How can that be?
Let’s talk about what you want to learn or gain from astrology? These clues can unlock secrets about what your chart wants from you, the path that you are meant to follow, and how you can show up best in the world. It can also show you where you are vulnerable, weak, or prone to something. This self understanding can help you know how to navigate yourself. Or hold on a bit longer. Or make the best decisions for yourself. Or take responsibility for your mistakes so that you can move forward karmically or prevent a really loud knock at the karmic door.
Back to Aries season. It’s a bit napalm in the morning, especially after the deep healing and restfulness of this past Pisces season. This season is as gentle as playtime with my cat; Betty. We’re coming out with a few scratches. Blood will be drawn, and it will be ours. This is not a mean/ suffering/ pallid vibe, it’s hopeful and playful, it’s just a little savage. It’s a little untamed. We are clumsily arising from a depth of liminal space, and now the tempo has been turned on. We’re in a tanning bed, it’s bright, hot, and quick.
So what I didn’t write about last week was both Mercury & Venus retrograde conjunct the North Node in Pisces, and then a minor triangle formation with it’s apex as Uranus in Taurus, including Mars in Cancer and Pisces Saturn. Events that occurred between April 1st until now have had a fated flavor, if not full of self review. There is an internal process going on about how we think and communicate and how we attach, connect, and how and what we value. There is also a host of fated events occurring that are centring us on our work in the world, and our desire and will.
For me: the past week was a big deal in terms of my realizations, understanding, and self knowledge/growing. I’ve been able to see myself let go of deeply ingrained desires I’ve had. I haven’t done it yet, but I see myself ready to see the world, and myself differently. I am ready to give up on some of the ideas/ beliefs/ strong wants and let them be incomplete. It feels a bit of a death, so it’s been a deeply difficult process, but I am also ready to allow something to grow in its place. To relinquish control of something I never had control of anyway. This beginning and ending vibe is strong in the house of Astro-Anarchist.
Let’s talk about this week, however. This concentration of planets and points at the end of Pisces and the continuation of Aries Sun in exaltation will continue to work us, emotionally, and energy-wise. Here are the time-stamps:

Today (Sunday 6th of April) we have a trine between Pisces Venus retrograde and Cancer Mars. This is beneficial energy that will help us emotionally with our self inquiry and creating the life we want. We are clearer now on what feels safe, creative, and nurturing, and now we are evaluating who in our life fosters this, and ways we might be allowing/ unconsciously undermining ourselves in who and what we bring into our lives. Alternately, we might be really getting clear and deepening our values, connections, and our actions coming into alignment with those things. Either way the energy will benefit us, and help us move forward emotionally. Even if we feel like we are going backwards.
Monday April 7th carries a conjunction of Saturn and Venus retrograde in Pisces which will lead to Mercury stationing direct– also in Pisces. Where does this happen in your birth chart? For me it is the 10th house, which is a public house, where you are most visible; and it also is where my destined work in the world is done.
We had our first hit on January 19th this year, we have this one in retrograde, and another one on April 25th after Venus stations direct. This is a story about our values, commitments, and responsibilities. This can feel austere in relationships, and in finances, because Saturn is restrictive, unyielding at times, and definitely tethers us to work. Venus is the planet of discernment values, connecting, and receiving. Saturn’s work with Venus can feel like rain on a parade, but it can also feel like mastery, depending on what we are willing to sacrifice, commit to, and work for.
This Venus retrograde is teaching us something about what must die/end/ dissolve in order for us to move forward. As I mentioned above, for myself, I am definitely seeing some things I’ve gripped too tightly, and how they may have undermined my ability to move forward. They may have clouded my judgement. And still I’m struggling with letting them go.
Saturn is going to make us let them go. Saturn can feel mean because it doesn’t take our bullshit excuses, and our childlike begging. Saturn ends what needs to end, makes us work on what needs to be worked on, and shows us what is finite, what is enduring, and the lessons we are missing. Saturn has no tolerance for our excuses, and his knocks on the door are loud and unignorable, especially if we’ve been running away from its message. Mercury in Pisces is now going direct, so our intuition is gaining power, and so are our communication skills. There is a lot to know and feel out right now, try to talk less and understand more.
Saturn and Venus together can be hard on relationships. And bank accounts. In Pisces, we get a chance to dream, dissolve, meditate, and heal. This is a creative place to be, and an emotional one. Sit with it, everything is going as planned.
Saturday April 12th is a big deal full Moon (don’t I say that every full Moon?) This one, in Libra, is a mirror to the eclipse one a year ago. All full Moons are oppositions between the Sun–currently in Aries– and the Moon, which will be in Libra that day. Well this Sun will be conjunct Chiron, the wounded healer, making our role as healer in the world in spotlight, and that can only happen through activation of our wound. In this case, it’s an identity wound we are feeling, about our innate selves- because this work is being done in the Aries part of our charts. This wound is something we’ve been working on healing for a few years now, and Sun brings out and up into our consciousness, while this full Moon is in the house of relationship, balance, justice, and beauty. Libra fights for peace, and there is a culmination and fullness coming to this emotional sphere, It will be fueled by a big consciousness in the self, as wounded and as healed. Perhaps this will help us see what mastery Saturn has wanted from us. Perhaps this will feel like a fight between what parts of us are emerging, and what parts of us are ending.
Because we just spent the last 18 months with eclipses in this Aries/Libra opposition, we may now be coming out of that rapid change, and find ourselves in some sort of equilibrium. Perhaps we have found ourselves more ourselves, or more authentic than we’ve been in a long time. Perhaps that has clarified or carried how we are in relationship, or perhaps our relationships are changing in some way. Whatever the scenario, notice who you’ve become, for good or bad. Notice who YOU are in all of this.
Are you being authentic?
Are your running away from your wound?
Are you using someone to heal, or as an excuse NOT to heal?
Are you finding something wrong in another to avoid your own work on yourself?
Sunday April 13th is like a hangover from the Full Moon, a balm for the wound, as Venus stations direct in Pisces. She has been on a journey backwards since March 2nd where she started this– in Aries– the sign of her detriment. It’s been 42 days of review, and backtrack into Pisces–where she is exalted. With her moving forward, there will be more ease, compassion, connection, and money flow. Relationships will feel more closer, attachments might be brought to light, healed, or be dissolving.
Venus may have had to let go of some big stuff during this retrograde. She descended into the underworld, and she still has to climb out of the underworld. She has to recover ground, and she has to learn to trust again. She was in a vulnerable, emotional place, and she might have lost something.
Pay attention to what’s coming up on this day, as the days when planets station are usually significant to the overall lesson we are learning. What have you learned about relationships, values, and receptivity in the last 42 days? Have you had to let go of something or someone? Have you had to discern between what can come with you and what cannot? Have you seen parts of you leave? Parts of you that will not dissolve? Stubborn spiritual stains that won’t wash out?
Venus moving forward over this terrain, and hanging out in this end corner of Pisces with the gang of Mercury, Saturn, and North Node will colour most of this month, and this part of our charts. This means the things that happen this month will have a fated flavor to them, and spiritual and emotional lessons abound. This affects who we are close to, who we trust with our hearts, and the intuitive work in the world that we cannot escape. It also comes into Piscean themes such as impermanence and intuition.
This week we will come to a precipice with that full Moon and Venus stationing direct. A change has already happened within, we are now going to see what that means.
Full Moon blessings
